Machine embroidery in Mumbai.
Faster than hand work, far more consistent across a production run, and considerably cheaper per piece. The right choice when quantity or deadline matters more than the handmade signature.
MUMBAI • SINCE 1992

Hand-guided, not computerised
This distinction matters and most studios blur it. We work on manual machines guided by hand — the craftsman steers the fabric under a single needle, deciding the line as it is stitched. It is a skill that takes years.
We are not a digitising shop running multi-needle automated heads from a file. That industry exists and does its job well for ten thousand identical caps. It is not what we do, and it is not what gives a garment the quality our customers come for.
When machine work is the right answer
We will recommend it ourselves when it genuinely suits your piece.
- Bulk and repeat runs — forty blouses that must match each other exactly
- Tight deadlines — machine covers ground several times faster than hand needle work
- Budget-sensitive pieces — the per-piece cost is substantially lower
- Logos and monograms — set once, then reproduced identically every time
- Outline and chain-stitch designs — where the machine line is genuinely the better look
- Kurtis, dress panels and uniform work — volume categories where consistency is everything
Hand or machine — how we decide
We would rather talk you into the right technique than the expensive one. The decision usually comes down to three questions: how many pieces, how fine the detail, and how much the handmade character matters to the person wearing it.
- Heavy raised zardozi, dabka and hand-set stones — hand work, always
- Fine filled shading and traditional heritage motifs — hand work
- Dense repeat patterns across many pieces — machine
- Logos, monograms and corporate identity work — machine
- Mixed pieces — we frequently combine both on one garment, machine for the groundwork and hand for the focal detail
Bulk work, without the drift
The standard failure in volume embroidery is drift: piece forty does not match piece one. We stitch an approved master sample first, keep it physically on the table for the entire run, and check against it rather than against memory.
Size-graded runs are handled properly too — a motif scaled for a size S yoke is re-set for size XL rather than stretched, so the proportion looks right on every garment.
Machine embroidery questions.
Is this computerised embroidery?
No. We use manual machines guided by hand, with a single needle. We do not run automated multi-needle heads from digitised files. Every line is steered by a craftsman.
Can you match an existing design exactly?
Yes. Send a sample garment or a clear photograph. For bulk work we stitch a master sample for your approval first, then hold the whole run against it.
What is your minimum quantity for machine work?
There is no minimum, though machine work becomes markedly more economical from roughly a dozen pieces upward because the setup is shared across the run.
How much cheaper is machine than hand embroidery?
It varies with the design, but machine work is usually a fraction of the hand cost for the same coverage, because it is far faster. Send the design and we will quote both so you can compare.
Can you do logos for a company or uniform?
Yes. Logos, monograms, staff uniforms, aprons and corporate gifting are regular work. Set up once, then stitched identically on every piece.
