Custom embroidery for Dubai and the UAE.
Gulf clients have ordered embroidery from Indian ateliers for generations, for one simple reason: the same quality of hand work costs a fraction of what it does locally, and the craft tradition runs deeper.
MUMBAI • SINCE 1992

Why Dubai buyers order from Mumbai
Hand embroidery is priced in labour hours. A dense goldwork placket that would be prohibitive to commission in the UAE is routine work in Mumbai, done by craftsmen whose families have worked in zari for generations.
We have been sending work to the Gulf for years — to private clients, boutiques and designers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Manama. The courier takes a few days each way, and the saving is substantial enough that it is simply not close.
What we make for Gulf clients
Both traditional Khaleeji work and contemporary arabesque — they are different crafts and we do not treat them as interchangeable.
- Abaya — cuff, hem, sleeve and front panel work, restrained or heavily embellished
- Jalabiya and kaftan — placket, neckline and full panel goldwork
- Traditional Khaleeji goldwork — dense zari panels in the classic Gulf grammar
- Talli-style braid and trim — applied along cuffs and edges
- Contemporary arabesque — flowing, open, modern negative space
- Thobe and kandura necklines — fine, restrained, precisely finished
- Wedding and occasion wear, and boutique production runs
How ordering from abroad actually works
There is no showroom to visit, so the process is built to remove the guesswork instead.
- Send your design, reference image or garment photo on WhatsApp
- We advise on technique and send a quotation the same working day
- Courier the garment or fabric to Mumbai, or we source it here
- We stitch a sample on your actual base fabric and photograph it for approval
- Nothing scales to a full run until you have signed off that sample
- Finished pieces are inspected front and back, wrapped and couriered to you
Ordering across a border, with confidence
The reasonable worry about commissioning abroad is that you cannot see the work until it arrives. We answer that with physical samples and photographs at every stage, not reassurance.
For boutiques and designers we work under NDA as standard, and we never display client commissions. Your collection stays yours until you choose to release it.
Custom embroidery for Dubai questions.
Do you have a shop in Dubai?
No. We are a Mumbai studio that works with Gulf clients by courier. That is precisely why the pricing is what it is — you are commissioning directly from the atelier with no local retail markup.
How long does delivery to the UAE take?
Courier is typically three to six working days each way, depending on the service. The embroidery time itself depends on the design and is agreed up front in the quotation.
Can you match a traditional Khaleeji design exactly?
Yes. Send a photograph of the piece or panel you want matched. We work traditional Gulf goldwork regularly and will stitch a sample for your approval before any full run.
Who pays customs and duties?
Import duties into the UAE are the receiver’s responsibility and vary by value and category. We declare shipments accurately and will give you the details you need in advance so there are no surprises.
Can I order just one piece?
Yes. Single abayas, kaftans and occasion pieces are normal work. There is no minimum order.
What if the finished piece is not right?
We photograph work in progress and get sample approval before any run, specifically so this does not happen. If something genuinely does not match the approved sample, we put it right.
